IRELAND CHOIR & BAND FESTIVAL in Dublin & Belfast with extension to London with Hilary Apfelstadt & Gillian MacKay
Explore rich traditions of wind and choral music as we perform music of this region, Canada and the rest of the world (featuring music with Celtic roots). We will celebrate traditional and contemporary music in historic venues experiencing the hospitality and culture of the Republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland in Dublin and Belfast.
Final repertoire selections will be confirmed in consultation with participating directors. Proposed composers include Grainger, Mooney, O’Ragan, Stanford, and Fergal Carroll.
We are excited to present this parallel band and choir program that combines both genres for the finale of the gala concerts.We would be honoured to make music with you in this unique cross-cultural context!
