Passion of Italy - Summer 2011

Join the festival choir as it sings Mass at St. Peter’s Basilica & in the Rome Festival Concert!

JOIN US IN ITALY
We are delighted to invite you to join us in exploring the musical passion of Italy. Italy has given us some of the finest music known to humankind and we will celebrate this in the Passion of Italy Festival.

It is our honor to lead you in singing Mass at one of the world’s greatest Cathedrals as well as performing in the Rome Festival Concert. We are proposing that repertoire for the gala concert include:

• Excerpts from Rossini’s Mass Solonelle
• One of Verdi’s Sacred Songs
• Nabucco’s Barber of Seville Chorus
• Rossini’s Prayer
• Mozart’s Ave verum corpus
  

Our final repertoire selection will be made once we know the choirs registering and in consultation with participating Directors.

We greatly enjoyed our collaboration in Prague and Vienna in 2009 and look forward to creating more musical magic with you and the passion of Italy.
