This masterpiece, a favorite of Western audiences and performers for over 150 years, is the perfect vehicle for our message of peace and hope and our desire for mutual understanding and respect. Originally, Brahms wanted to call his work A Human Requiem, since he felt the universality of its message could be meaningful to all who might hear it.
